Effective immediately, the Village of Rochester is under a burn ban until further notice.
Current burn status is HIGH.
Due to high winds, warm temperatures, and a continued lack of moisture, fire conditions have become increasingly dangerous. These factors significantly increase the risk of rapidly spreading grass, brush, and structure fires.
All open burning is prohibited during this burn ban. This includes recreational fires, brush burning, and debris burning. We ask all residents to use caution and help protect our community by complying with this order.
We will provide an update as soon as conditions improve and the burn ban can be lifted.
