Burn Ban in Effect – Village of Rochester Due to current weather conditions, a burn ban is now in effect for the Village of Rochester.
With elevated fire danger and forecasted winds, any outdoor burning poses a significant risk of rapid fire spread. For the safety of our community and emergency responders, all open burning is prohibited until further notice.
This includes:
Burning of brush, leaves, or yard waste
Recreational fires (including fire pits)
Any other open flame burning outdoors
Residents are asked to use caution with any potential ignition sources, including grills, equipment, and smoking materials.
We will continue to monitor conditions closely and will provide updates when the ban is lifted.
