NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Village Board of the Village of Rochester, Racine County, Wisconsin,
of a public hearing on Ordinance No. 2026-1:
“An Ordinance Rezoning One Parcel of Land Within the Village of Rochester From UR to B-7 Zoning
District.”
SECTION 1: Rezones Parcel ID 176031911008010 from the Urban Reserve to B-7 Mixed Business Use zoning
district.
NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN by the Village Board of the Village of Rochester, Racine County, Wisconsin,
of a public hearing on Ordinance No. 2026-2:
“An Ordinance Amending the Zoning Code of the Village of Rochester to Permit Accessory Structures in Some
Street Yards and Clarify how Zoning Ordinances may be Initiated.”
SECTION 1: Permits the placement of accessory structures in the street yards of some residential properties in
agricultural zoning districts.
SECTION 2: Removes two unnecessary references to the previous version of code section 35-180(B)(6).
SECTION 3: Adds the Ordinance Committee and Village Staff to the list of possible initiators of zoning
ordinances, and clarifies that only map amendments may be initiated by petition.
SECTION 4: Clarifies the information required for zoning amendments initiated by petition.

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that these hearings will be held on Monday, May 11, 2026 during the Village
Board meeting beginning at 6:30 p.m. in the Rochester Village Hall, 300 West Spring Street, Rochester,
Wisconsin. This location is handicap accessible. If you have any other special needs, please contact the

NOTICE IS FURTHER GIVEN that at said hearings, opportunity will be given to any person or persons,
