Rochester Dam Gate Failure

Tom Halter, Rochester Dam Operator, has reported that repairs are currently underway at the Rochester Dam.
Several gate cables have failed, which has caused the affected gates to remain fully open until repairs are completed.

What this means for residents:

•Water levels may fluctuate significantly
•Changes are expected to continue for at least the next 24 hours

Please use caution around the river and downstream areas during this time, and stay alert for changing conditions.
