Scam Alert – Fraudulent Emails Targeting Residents
The Village of Rochester has been made aware of fraudulent emails being sent to residents that appear to come from Village officials or staff. These messages may request personal information, payments, or urgent actions.
Please be aware:

The Village will never ask for sensitive personal information (such as Social Security numbers, banking details, or passwords) through email.

The Village does not request payments or gift cards via email.

Official Village emails will always come from an address ending in @rochesterwi.gov.
If you receive an email that seems suspicious:

Do not click on any links or attachments.

Do not reply or provide any information.

Verify the message by calling Village Hall directly at 262-534-2431.

You may also report suspicious emails to the Village or to the Racine County Sheriff’s Office.
