NOTICE OF HEARING

NOTICE IS HEREBY GIVEN by the Village Board of the Village of Rochester, Racine County, Wisconsin, of a public hearing on Ordinance No. 2025-7:
“An Ordinance Amending the Zoning Code of the Village of Rochester Regarding the Permitting of Minor Accessory Structures and Flag Poles”
to be held on Monday, July 14, 2025 at 7:30 p.m. in the Rochester Village Hall, 300 West Spring Street, Rochester, Wisconsin. This location is handicap accessible. If you have any other special needs, please contact the Rochester Village Clerk at (262) 534-2431.
THE ORDINANCE CLARIFIES THE RESTRICTIONS ON MINOR ACCESSORY STRUCTURES AND FLAGPOLES WITHOUT OBTAINING A ZONING PERMIT:
SECTION 1: Creates section 35-21(B)(2)(b)(4) to clarify the allowable number, square footage, and height for minor accessory structures without a zoning permit in sewered zoning districts. SECTION 2: Amends section 35-21(B)(3)(b) to clarify the allowable square footage and height for minor accessory structures without a zoning permit in unsewered zoning districts. SECTION 3: Amends section 35-180(B)(7) to provide specific guidelines as to flag pole height, number, and placement without a zoning permit.
