About Recreation in Rochester

The Village of Rochester has an abundance of recreational possibilities. You may wish to go bicycling, camping, fishing, flying, jogging, hiking, hunting, or snowmobiling. Or you may want to spend a relaxing day by the Fox River or in our parks.

The Fox River runs through the Village of Rochester, providing for canoeing, kayaking, fishing or just watching the world go by.

The Village of Rochester has six parks that contain picnic areas, hiking trails, soccer fields, baseball diamonds, bicycling trails, primitive camping, cross country ski trails, and playgrounds.

There are a number of restaurants in the area.

Because of the rural nature of Rochester, shopping is limited to the downtown area. Major shopping can be found in the surrounding communities of Waterford, Burlington, Lake Geneva, Milwaukee, Racine, and Kenosha.

For those of you who like to fly the Rochester Airport is just west of hwy 36 on County Road D and the Burlington Airport is 4 1/2 miles Southwest of the intersection of Hwy 36 and County Road D.
