Help Wanted: Village Administrator

The Village of Rochester is seeking a qualified Village Administrator to oversee all day-to-day village administrative functions in accordance with adopted ordinances, policies, state statutes, budgets, and established procedures. This position supervises village staff, responds to and interacts with the press and village residents, supports and advises the Village Board, oversees personnel and benefits administration, and in general ensures the smooth function of village operations.

The successful candidate will have a management and leadership style that reflects collaboration, teambuilding, approachability and a calm, professional demeanor. Candidates will excel in multi-tasking, communication, and relationship building with all municipal personnel, community partners, and the public. Candidates will demonstrate fiscal experience, particularly with budgeting/municipal finance.

Desired Minimum Qualifications:   Bachelor degree from an accredited college or university, ideally in public administration or planning, and two years administrative experience in municipal government, particularly a City, Town, or Village Administrative Office; or any equivalent combination of education and experience.

Salary Range: $85,000 – $95,000 DOQ. Benefits include health, dental, and life insurance and participation in the Wisconsin Retirement System. Participation in a Section 457 Deferred Compensation Plan is also available as an optional benefit.
